The Goal: Providing training to help your company expand overseas
- The H-3 visa is a nonimmigrant visa which allows foreign nationals to enter the U.S. temporarily to train in "any field of endeavor". This visa can be useful where your company has a need to bring foreign workers to the U.S. for training purposes. The worker will then return to a foreign residence upon the completion of his/her training and will apply what has been learned to further your company’s goals abroad. It must be demonstrated that the type of training being provided is not available in the worker's home country.
- The training program must not be used for purposes of hiring in the U.S., but is instead intended to advance the worker's career outside the U.S.
