Replacement Citizenship and Naturalization Certificates redesigned from July 1, 2013

Individuals who request replacement certificates (Form N-561, Replacement Certificate of Citizenship, and Form N-570, Replacement Certificate of Naturalization) are being issued redesigned certificates for citizenship and naturalization by U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) from July 1, 2013.

The positive attributes of this technology are it can readily help deter counterfeiting, prevent tampering, and facilitate quick and accurate authentication. Moreover, with the secure printing process for the certificates tampering is prevented efficiently.

In the same league, USCIS has previously redesigned the Certificate of Naturalization (Form N-550), Certificate of Citizenship (Form N-560) and Employment Authorization Document (Form I-765) with enhanced security features, since 2010. USCIS has been working towards enhancing the integrity of immigration system and producing secure documents.

Despite the changed look of the documents, the process of applying for and receiving them will not change. Previously issued certificates will remain valid.
