Earlier this week rumors were circulating about a possible second lottery to be run by USCIS. USCIS never confirmed or denied these rumors. However, this morning it appears that attorneys and companies received emails from their myUSCIS account with the subject line “We have taken an action on your case.” Once logged in, some H-1B lottery registrations changed from “Submitted” to “Selected.”

The Selection Notice states the following:

Based on this selected registration, your company is eligible to file a corresponding H-1B petition between 08/17/2020 and 11/16/2020 at the following location…” The Notice will again state the Service Center to which the H-1B cap petition will need to be filed.

If you have been notified of new H-1B registration selections, contact your attorney to begin the process of filing the case. The deadline to file these second round of H-1B cap cases is November 16, 2020.
