The #Houston area has seen a sharp 14% increase in local red blood cell demand. Hospitals have resumed nonessential surgeries, and patients throughout the Houston area are resuming treatment options. Blood and blood components are used during these surgeries and some treatments to keep people alive. There is no substitute for blood. Donating blood saves many lives!
